Sent my boss ps3 ambient maker off to an electronic friend to diagnose why it’s acting intermittently… don’t really want to have to pay for another one so bass clone chorus is acting as part of what it did (if it gets fixed).
Also took the mini wah off and put the weeping demon back on the board as a placeholder until my Justin chancellor wah comes in and found it sweeps my mbd1 better!
Had a mess around with it and dirt plus wah plus reverb into chorus can get some pretty ambient synthy out there tones.

Never gets old. I bet the guys at Rockwell got a big kick out of that video back in the day.
I'm too OCD for that mixer and its non-Euclidean ways. The jack for Levels 3 is what bugged me at first, but you also can't drawn a straight line through the centers of any 3 jacks on the right side either. And maybe it's an illusion but everything else also looks at least a little wonky.
LOL it looks like something you build in your garage from Radio Shack project parts. Just drilling holes with a hand drill by eyeballing it. But I'm not into modular, so what do I know?
This is the frustrating thing about Euro for me. It’s a false economy: sure you’ve crammed a brilliant design into a smaller space, but now the only hope for performing with it is getting out the tweezers, or using a separate control module. Also, build quality and power regulations.
This is just my usual rant, though. Off lawn now and all that.
in other news, I’m back in Canada early. My London conference lost a bunch of people to Covid, including the organizer, who we watched get sicker and sicker as they participated over Zoom. Then my Berlin conference was cancelled due to Covid. Be careful out there!
i get the size frustration, but it’s a lot of possibility in a small amount of space (not as small as a laptop, of course).
covid: sorry about that. not surprised, unfortunately. seems like another surge is inevitable. not clear why people don’t keep some precautions still, but that’s just me. i’m trying to put a mini-tour together in the spring and it just seems like folly, given how things are going.
dont want to get political n stuff but COVID prevention/safety and gigs will never happen.
Ive done a lot them (probably too many) since venues opened up and crowd control is literally impossible unless its 10 people in a small room with lines on the floor. And even then that’s assuming all 10 are willing to adhere to said COVID prevention protocols.

Yeah, I basically accept that if I go to a show, I have to wear a mask but nobody else will. I think they could have a mandate but it would need to come from the state, and the bars would protest because there go all the sweet alcohol profits.
Happily, mask compliance is a little higher at academic events. And I can basically insist on it if I’m a visiting speaker.
As for the Eurorack possibility, that what keeps me coming back. Thinking about more control modules, separate from the main rack. We will see.
