Hilma af Klint
From Wikipedia:
Hilma af Klint was a Swedish artist and mystic whose paintings were amongst the first abstract art. A considerable body of her abstract work predates the first purely abstract compositions by Kandinsky.
Here is a close up view of the new Pulsar 23 drum machine by Soma Labs. Can't wait to get hold of this one. I'm on the wait list so it might be a while.

right!
i've seen some of her work (actually saw some in the spiritual in art show at lacma in the 80s/90) and have done a bit of reading on her. knew i recognized it, just couldn't immediately place the name.
I posted this as a thread in effects, but I thought you folks wouldn’t have an opinion or experience with the same concepts.
So I’m getting a superego+ and I’m going back and forth trying to decide where I want my looper. Both will be at the end of my chain.
It seems to me that if I have it before, I can latch sounds in the ego apply effects with its built in and then play thru the rest of my board with different effects, looP them and send them thru the ego uneffected by it, and create a dual layered effect. But if I do this then I can’t looP the ego sounds. I know I could use 2 loopers but I don’t have the room or desire.
Any thoughts, ideas or preferences?
Say what?!
The Poly Digit looks interesting. That’s a touch screen.

Just sold my Erebus V2 on Reverb. Did a quick video to document the working order of it. I gotta say, it sounded really good. I almost second guessed my choice to sell it.
That said, I’m also having Medusa issues. It’s freezing on me. Polyend gave me a reset trick to try. If that doesn’t work, I’m not sure I’ll have any warranty coverage since I bought it used.
Well. Factory reset trick may be working on the Medusa. No freezing last night.
Erebus sold, so I’m looking at snagging a V2 Nyx.
Really surprised I’m not using the Zoia much. I think I like dedicated boxes with fixed sounds and knobs to turn. The DIY sound design is not really inspiring me to make things. It’s analysis paralysis.
That’s my main fear of getting a Zoia...want to spend the day writing, not making patches

The wild stuff I see folks doing on the FB group is technically interesting but not musically, to my ears. It’s flashy for short IG clips but I wouldn’t go to see/hear it as a live show, and I wouldn’t buy it to listen to on a long drive.
I agree, musicality first and foremost.
