edit. Haha. steubig’s post posted as I was typing mine.

Hope the keep the spelling of treble.

I’m doing hardcore family stuff atm but took a few minutes and installed Madrona Labs Sumu on my laptop. I have no idea what I am going to do with it but am very intrigued.

If I remember right it was Erica that also released a module with a "Bitchrush" knob.

Sumu took some time to wrap my head around. It confused the hell out of me on first contact. (For me, all synths have to be fun and easy to patch from scratch... aside from DX7 emulations which get a pass, but which I don't use much anyway.)

Once I started figuring it out a bit, made myself a better default patch, realized I could use Bitwig modulators for simple stuff (and controlling modulation depths), things got a lot better and I started to love it. Also there are some missing features and flaws since it's Early Access.

Is it all bass?

nope.

my 1984 contributions are 4-string bass guitars (got into 6-strings the next year) plus effects, juno 60 and 808; my later contribution is a modular synth overdub on an intro.

the other guys are
wayne peet: organ and synth, and 606 and 808; later stuff is pretty in-depth remix and some overdubs
nels cline: guitars (wayen says bass, but i think he's tripping); later stuff is guitar.

tia for listening.
