If you’re popping out to NAMM, I’d suggest a short drive to Long Beach to eat at 4th Horseman. It’s pretty darn good.

I’ve only been to winter NAMM a few times over the years for endorsement stuff. Ironically, I get invited to Summer NAMM in Nashville every year but almost never go. I’d love to visit the place in Long Beach though!

I only did it when it helped a band I was in. The event itself ain’t my cup of tea. Once, a guitarist in my band got a sig model with Gretsch, so we had to do a set at NAMM. That sort of thing. Never mind the political fallout when we fired him like a month later

it’s weird and often depressing, but oddly fun.

what i want is something that will record live (and sometimes un-quantitatized) midi information and then use pipe it into a synth module. anyone have ideas about that?

Not hardware, but Ableton is freakin awesome at that exact task.
The options for midi recording on Ableton are freakin endless.....

One of these days I gotta try Ableton. Just never quite feel ready for the learning curve over from Logic. Kinda like monster with octatracks

I get it. I've used ableton for the past....hmmm maybe 8 years. It's really weird when coming from a "conventional" daw. It can do everything but going from point A to B is another secret eary road...haha

Like where the fx are located....the clips view...arrangement view etc.....samples.

The included instruments are incredibly powerful and versatile. I never felt the need to get any pluggins or software instruments.......

I'm no pro but Id be more than happy to answer some questions if you ever take the dive.

Awesome track, i come here very sporadically, but i'm glad i saw this. The style reminds me of some Lapfox (formerly Vulptrax) tracks. If you don't know the guy, i think it's worth checking out (there are various names and associated characters, but it's only one guy)
