Indeed. One that shall remain nameless peeved my off when they choose a favorite of the year that hadn't had a "review" and said "I haven't tried it yet but if its like the previous version....you should buy this"

Hmmmmm.....go @^^#^#....

Essentially why I only do demos and leave my opinion out of it. But it’s sort of unspoken that if I do a demo, it’s something I think sounds or works great. I’ve turned away many pedals because I didn’t think they were useful or just sounded bad.

yeah. it kind of does it and kind of doesn’t. i should go back to mine, but i’ve been in a bit of a no pedals phase (blasphemy!).

have you messed around with an expression pedal with it? can be fun. wish they had an option for expression controlling blend (least ways mine doesn’t).

Not yet. And if I consider that for too long, I'll probably start Googling "expression control splitters/routers/distribution amps" because I think I'd rather have one pedal that's assignable to the various stompboxes I own that can accept an expression input, rather than one pedal per box.
Either way it increases my payload by several kilograms, which I keep telling myself is anathema to wanting to gig more frequently with all this gear. :)

My fav synth reviewers have to be loopop and automaticgainsay- loopop shows off what can be done. Automaticgainsay does a deep dive into every part of the synth but sometimes doesn’t really “do” things with it but gives you an idea of what most reviews just glimpse over...

That said my budget has gone pretty bad lately and dreams of a hardware synth will be stuck to just watching long reviews on YouTube for now :)

Yeah good find hey! My friend told me about this band recently! I was searching for them And a band also mentioned to me called dodecahedron and found a fully ambient band by accident on Apple Music called carbon based life forms with a song called dodecahedron... not too shabby

It's basically just a scaled back, smaller MPC live. I'm happy they released it, because it's based on the same hardware/software, so it tells me that they're going to continue supporting this particular platform for a few years. There's still some lacking features in the Live/X, namely DFD streaming, and more importantly, multitimbral midi input. Currently, I can only play one synth at a time, through it, which really sucks, in terms of creativity on the fly.
