You know, there are a few delays on the market that limit the infinite repeats so they don't self oscillate out of control and blow up your amplifier. You might want to buy one of those.

I received the Erica Synths Zen Delay Friday and promptly hooked it up to my Moog Grandmother. All of a sudden it was 5am Saturday. It's really nice. A perfect delay for tabletop operation. Large, smooth turning knobs and really intuitive. No real need for a manual. Just plug it in and get right to it. The tube drive is a really nice feature. It increases smoothly and adds anything from a subtle grit, through a hard edge, to musical clipping. Having a lot of fun with it so far. The Grandmother has a spring reverb built in and plays really nicely with the Zen.

Nice. I think I might get a zen delay too. Today I pulled the granny out for the first time in a while. I had forgotten how much fun it is.

That Zen is on my watch list for sure. Appreciate the feedback.

Got home from the road earlier today and unboxed my new Elektron Model:Cycles. I only had a short time to mess with it as I had a 4 hour gig tonight that started at 6pm. Just pulled up factory patterns, hit play and turned a few knobs. Kinda cool, can't really tell. It does sound good, but I gotta get through some learning curve crap :)

Why can't elektron have some sort of consistent interface type thing that goes accross their units....???

Would definitely avoid "learning curve crap" and "wall punching action".

So we started about putting some more synthy elements in some of our songs and sort of trying to build some more ambience/weird into some parts of our stuff... And well. Frustration aside, I really hate messing around with midi stuff. LOL.

I'm really thinking about modding one of my lofi noise boxes accept a cv input or otherwise stabilize and calibrate the lfo a bit more so we can just use that instead of screwing around with midi... I'll have to play with the midi stuff more but omg
