Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

I might be misunderstanding the want then. From the little I've played with midi-over-usb there is a ton of data that is flowing around and logging it and getting it later is easier. The idea I sort of have brewing is midi data logger, couple buttons (sync, overall start, phrase start-phrase end- overall end and it'd have some midi-ins, midi-out, usb for midi and for the treating internal data as a usb drive. Again, the engineer brain is talking so this makes sense to me, not sure about the rest of y'all, hahahaha.

Dealing with live, in-stream manipulation of midi commands and re-sampling/re-sending/looping commands is a different beast that totally gets way harder with out big work space and some dedicated software. Thats in my experience at least. I kind of hate software for making music, so I understand where you're coming from, hahahahaha.

half of that went way over my head . . . and part of that was, hell yes.

i guess that what i want might be a real-time midi data looper?
