I'm pretty worried myself. It has reached my county today. I'm wondering if I should do these gigs I have coming up in the next few weeks. Also concerned about my elderly father.

Hoping for the best.

In better news my first batch of Buchla 200 clones arrived today. Need to get some power supply issues sorted before I can mess with them. I'm sure they will keep me plenty busy for the foreseeable future.

I'm definitely a little bit nervous. I'm trying to change a few things, but not go insane with worry.
It's a fine line between panic and preparation.
My dad has COPD and is in lung cancer treatment, so if he gets this, it's all over, so that's probably what weighs most on my mind. Plus, he's in Florida.

I'm on a task force at our college to help transition to online ed when we have to shut down, so at least I'll have plenty of work to keep me busy, if nothing else, but I worry for all the people out there who have to go to work every day. I live way out in the country in a great state, so there's that...

But damn, I can't wait for my Wavestate to get here, especially if I'm gonna be holed up for a while. Stay safe, everyone.

I should just point out that if it seems we need to all stay home, it certainly seems as though we have plenty of toys to keep us busy.

But seriously, how's everyone doing with this?

Flew to Melbourne to watch the F1. The only thing people around here are concerned about is running out of bog rolls, if you can believe it. Twits.

Seriously though, I share the concern for vulnerable people, particularly those with things like cystic fibrosis and other underlying health issues. Not fun.

i'm in l.a.

things here are starting to heat up. there are starting to be school closures for the foreseeable future. i'm sure you've all noticed sporting events and festivals getting cancelled.

i was supposed to do a gig tomorrow, saxophonist had been flying last week, so he was concerned. we cancelled . . . dunno if we overreacted or not. my guess is no.

been reading a bit on this (including a piece a doctor friend sent me that was pretty sobering—apparently, there are probably exponentially more undiagnosed than diagnosed cases that are asymptomatic but still contagious), gotta say it's better to not be a vector for this thing. and i have an 86-year-old mother, so i'm concerned about that.

i'm staying away from the gym for the foreseeable future (probably should've started this last week). we'll see if more gigs get cancelled in the future. i work from home, but i think any long-term issue with this will cause some economic issues for me. only possible silver lining is that i'm supposed to have jury duty in ten days . . . (gallows humor)

tmi . . .

I'm in LA too. Trader Joe's was a zoo tonight. Most bottled water is gone. Toilet paper too. My friend went to another, bigger grocery store and the shelves were empty. People are ready to dig in.

I think I'm with you in the gym. I went to physical therapy today, and it's in a medical building, and there are mostly elderly clients. I'm ready to cancel my remaining appointments.

Luckily, I work from home.

Yeah I'm lucky I can work from home via VPN but my wife works in a hospital and uni... greatest points of contact with community and can do some of uni but none of hospital from home... we have elderly parents on both sides with health issues so yeah there is that too..

we in adelaide also have the twits hogging the toilet paper :(
Bonus of 4 kids with three at kind of playing age,( 2 4 and 6) I could teach them guitar / bass / keyboard / percussion :)

Here things are a bit different.
103 cases in all Canada. Population: 37.6 million
Quebec: 7 cases. Population: 8.48 million

1 death out of those numbers.

Nothing has really changed in daily life. MTL metro system is getting regular clean ups.
Nothing is closed and no real general panic.
Lots of detection centers have opened for prevention all over the province.

Goverment invest 1 billion as of yesterday intervene directly.

But hey, general estimate is regardless of anything we do. Over 70% of the global population is gonna get this thing over the next 2 years so......
Im kinda concerned cuz im asthmatic so....im pretty much in for a big ride or toast if i get this. Plus with my day job im around kids all day since ....wait for it.....im a school bus driver. Epicenter of germ warfare. Haha
:banghead:

Interesting device

Edit - $1,000 at Perfect Circuit.

I was on the list for one of these before they came out, but backed out and got my deposit back. They've done a lot of firmware updates that are super cool and I do think this box is cool, but you can't sample directly into it without a class compliant audio interface. I'm still looking at the new Instruo modules that do the looping granular thing
