Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

I think this is the big danger for all of us... relying on anectdotal evidence. Up in Vermont we've been really good about it for the most part, and it's a challenge to reconcile what one sees vs the reality... this pandemic is still out there, and still spreading, and just because a lot of people are acting like it isn't, doesn't change that. I fully expect it to rear its ugly head again, as I must admit to being rather astounded at how many people are just suddenly acting as though this whole thing never happened.

It's a fine line between being sane/safe, being cavalier, and being neurotically cautious.

very well put. I live in Queens at the moment, a place that was hit incredibly hard, and I grew up a in community in New Jersey that has been decimated. we're not through the pandemic by any means, and there's little likelihood of a vaccine anytime soon. keep calm and stay sane, but err on the side of caution.

Got a new work table...so much better. It’s hydraulic, so I can quickly go from sitting t standing height.

Soundcraft 22 MTK mixer should show up this week. Stoked!

I did google searches for hours last night...found that table at an Office Depot on sale for $299

usually some interesting options here but I’ve never purchased any.
Standing & Standing Desk Converter Desks

Desks are probably moving with people working from home in isolation. I know our office has been facing issues getting computer hardware.

In my previous band my our drummer had a small pedalboard with a mixer for his in ear monitors. He had a few other things in there...but I forget what they where....dad brain. His mixer was a Yamaha MG06, that I also have in my mess of wires cables pedals, synths, sampler and crap. The other mixer I use at home is an old Tapco from the late 80s. Got it for free and it’s surprisingly good. I’d dare say very good.
So your idea isn’t “that bad”.
You just had to put the Zoia in the shot didn’t you.

my work space’s spirit animal is francis bacon’s studio.
Hope there isn’t too much paint splash on those Fodera’s.
:)

Yes I had too look up Francis Bacon, pardon my ignorance.

Kinda relieved all our work areas are post FUBAR war zones of spaghetti cables and piled up books, pedals, empty coffee mugs and Rick & Morty Portal Guns.....ok last one might be just me.....haha
With 2 different signal chains pieced together with 3 XLR cable to reach the mixer on the other end of the the floor since there’s no more room on the desk.
