Kyoka also got me when I first heard this

btw, just want to revisit this. i liked this stuff pretty well.

also had the benefit of leading down the yt rabbithole to this human (?), whose stuff reminds me a bit of autechre, but has its own personality, i think..

might be of interest to some folks here?

That first Kyoko part, when the beat and the voice comes in...reminds me so much of Knower. I'm guessing they checked out Kyoko at some point.

Datach'i has some good stuff but you have to dig a little to find the gems. Some albums have some "filler" imo. Sometimes you get a "easy beat driven song" followed by a total glitch fest.

Nothin wrong with that but it makes for some "unevenness ".......still....I'm splitting hairs here.

Will look up kyoko......thx

My 2 cents

cool. i seem to have hit mostly glitchy stuff so far.

we can't all be geniuses all the time (beethoven's "wellington's victory" anyone?).

Sonically, I like this a lot! Cool sounds. very much tracker style slicing/sequencing

I would like some insight from the council of the wise.

I finally put up and prepared and bandcamp page for my "more complete" works.

Should I delete those same works on my soundcloud?

Soundcloud for ideas and drafts....
Bandcamp for "completed ideas"....

Any opinion towards this are more than welcome.
Looks like you already decided...I fall on the other side of the fence on this opinion. To me, it’s less about parsing out listening environments and more about intentions.

if your intention is to get your music out there, then the more platforms the better...they are all entryways to lure in a potential fan to dig deeper.

I think of it like Facebook v Instagram v other platforms. Some people post the same thing on all, others use one for one thing and another for another thing, but if you aren’t a Facebook person you won’t get to see the content posted there...if you are a consumer of all platforms it can be annoying to see the same posts on multiple platforms so I would expect the user to get choosy and only follow one account.

for me, I do this for fun but I’d like to connect more w people who like what I do...and for this, I think the best model is to provide short tastes. I believe in giving away your best stuff since once you get a fan you’ve made that connection...I don’t do this, but find many people who navigate social media properly suck me in that way. I think people shoot themselves in the foot by introducing themselves w a 20 min clip since it is hard to really catch someone w something so lengthy in our world w such short attention spans...but again, intentions...if you are just looking to get it out there then get it out there. If you are looking to build a fan base, you’ll need to think about the full user experience for a curious potential fan...how are you catching their attention, then how are you holding it and directing them to go deeper?
