glad to be a bad influence??
if you have the extra scratch and space, i’d really consider key because of the poly after touch. it really help do some special things. the pads on the desktop also do pat, but it’s a bit harder to play big chords and the like. but, i’m pretty sure the pads transmit pat (the keyboard does), so programming other stuff that accepts it would be a blast either way.
and, i don’t love the factory presets in the thing, but programming it is really fun and easy to get interesting sounds.
fwiw, for the last six months, i’ve been working on this 5-part, approximately 48-minute piece with the hs. i’m very happy with the colors it gets.
