Interesting...what happened with MXR for you?MXR scored three strikes with me.
I'm done with them.
TC has gone downhill in QC in the last few years. A buddy of mine had 2 ditto x2 loopers go dead after 3 days.
Still no problems yet with EHX on my end......
I've had pedal snobs in bands do the wine taster crap with boss......I just brushed em off and let them be.

The pedal that has lasted the longest with me has been my Boss DD6. I do wish I could make it less bright, but it's so great for what it is.
Steuart has me eyeing the RV500 for sure, and with the high control to dial back that digital sound, it could be a great option for me.
The Walrus Audio D1 is getting great reviews as well, and is nice and compact.

I haven't played either. The Eccos is also supposed to be super cool. I like the control set of the D1 I think. The Eccos has the typical looper with no double speed...so not interested.
Ok...here we go.
VBO had the missing attenuator causing a freakn helicopter in my amp.
Was told by mxr tech support that the problem was "normal" and i I didn't know how to use it properly. I had to take it apart to show them the problem. Add to that had to pay for shipping to get fixed. ( this is all well documented in the vbo thread with pics tk help others with the same QC crap issue)
Strike one....crappy pedal....strike 2 aweful customer service.
Tried a mxr bass comp a few days....on 3rd day..completely dead....went back to the store for a refund.

I certainly wish more pedal manufacturers would embrace BOSS' enormous square footswitch.
yeah, this is a thing about boss in general. my guess is that it cuts, it's made for folks who aren't doing bass . . . and i think the japanese like that clean sound (consider how clean everything yamaha makes is).
the rv-500 is great if you want to have two reverbs going at the same time or morphing between two reverbs with an ev pedal. otherwise the rv-200 might be better. (same with the delay versions, the dd-500 and dd-200).

they should also do an od-500 with more robust ev control (the 200 is lacking from what i can tell).

Agreed. Seems that would have been a great option, but process wise the rv 500 is really good already, honestly. I don't need the control that you've mentioned, but it still seems like an incredible option for a straight forward verb box. Does it do reverse by chance?
yes. reverse. a few different flavs of other. modelled srv-2000 stuff (i loved the srv)
it’s pretty cool to have reverse and regular going on at the same time.

I hate going though my pedals to tighten the little footwstiches every few months since they often comme loose......T-Rex one are the worst since you have to open up the pedal and tighten it from the inside.....(mini putt hand claps)....but I got the T-Rex quint for peanuts.....so 1st world problems.
Worst one is my EHX pitchfork, I might put some lock tight on that one.....but I do smashhard and often one it in non latching mode. And the little « up, down » pitch switch is soooo flimsy I’m counting the days till it breaks off.
I must admit I go pretty hard on my pedals when jamming and on gigs.

Well, Digitech pedals have a similar big block switch which, in my opinion, works better than Boss's and doesn't have that screw to worry about. A few others have that big switch pad as well.
Of course, that won't work for pedals that have more than one stomp switch, but it's fine when you have only one.

Here we go. Still practicing with my most recent JMT synth.
Was trying to go for a more "ambient" vibe and less "harsh" texture . Getting there, I still need a lot of practice. These synths require an intense listening process due to the unpredictable nature of them.
No computer, no mastering. Recorded on my portable 4 track.

I like it. Which JMT synth? Is it bass through the synth or synth alone?
Synth alone, split in two channels ....then into mixer with on-board FX and EQ.
One dry channel, one with FX. Both had different EQ settings.
L-R of mixer straight into 4 track recorder.
