Well, in light of learning you're a bus driver, your avatar makes a lot more sense, now.

For @uglybassplayer idiots suck.
Your description led me to this:

If you hate it fine it you don’t fine
What you described I tried to in my limited understanding to make noise

Happy I could inspire this.
Very cool my friend.
I really dig the sounds you create.

Re: noise
That's what i love about "noise " .
You don't need to understand, its just pure self expression.
Fullfulilling the need to create.

Still thinking...

Okay, I reached out to Maurizio about the string issue (the concern about being able to get strings for this thing 10 years from now). Here's the response...
"Actually both the Miezo and x3m work with standard strings. We use .125/.40 as our stabdard gauge. This allows tuning the shortest scale 16" Miezo to the B1 pitch equivalent to 12th fret if your standard bass. Using commin heavuer gauges like .130... .135 you can lower the tuning. A cystom gauge is only necessary if you want to go really low, like E1 or lower. But most of our clients don't need that. So, short answer - use standard string in the gauge you prefer."

It'll be a miracle if I don't pull the trigger on this by the end of the day.

Nice!
I started pricing out the 25.5 X3M 5-string options.

I sent him a few more questions... I wanted to know which is more sustainy - mahogany or raintree, also wanted to know what raintree looked like. Wanted to know if the builtin headphone option was 1/4". Wanted to know the export fees. I just want to get the shorty with the headphone jack so I can go sit on a mountain somewhere and play bass.

What I can't figure out is, is this thing an octave higher, or not? Because that video you posted, it sounds pretty low. When I hear back, I'll post what he responded.

It is generally an octave up. That video has custom 210 gauge strings.
