I really like the sources and the initial results, but it’s not fun to create editorially. I will have to figure out how I can “play” these samples, if I’m gonna use them creatively.
Ableton Sampler or Kontakt?

4 string Mood Blooper (time stretching filtering) 2 passes to make loops then one live pass into garage band.
Informally self taught. Decided to get “serious” in June of last year and started taking lessons with a classical guitarist.
Amazing until we couldn’t meet in person and because of latency zoom didn’t work. Still in touch a couple of times a month and working through what is given. The in person relationship of being able to play/ study in real time is something that is greatly missed. Definitely not making the same progress as before.

Thanks for listening. Yeah I tend to get too knobby twiddled. Just because you can do it doesn’t mean it makes sense in piece. As an improviser I tend to get sonically lost. Any and all suggestions are really appreciated as this is uncharted territory.

This one hit a little too close to home.
Thanks to all the usual suspects for helping keep the inspiration from completely vaporizing.

It was actually the opposite for me... when the thing started, I was in such a bad headspace, I didn't even go into my studio. Now, I'm there, every night. This one hit a little too close to home.

Had some unusual motivation/inspiration this week. Taking a different approach for finishing stuff, working on a multi-part suite that's in the CryoChamber cinematic dark ambient vein. Should be interesting.
Wow.Trying to slowly get back into recording stuff. Got sidetracked by my modular stuff. Lots of funny sounds, but nothing by way of songs to show for it. I had got covid, which took me out of commission for nearly 3 weeks. That sucked.
Gonna try to make some samples today

:::looks over at the 43-space rack full of recording equipment that has been gathering dust and hasn't even been wired up since I moved into this apartment...seven years ago:::
"Um, guys, it may take me a while to get you that recording!"
