i have friend who thinks that the mics and a-d convertors in some of their vid cameras are very good.

Me too, but I gave it a try anyways. I cant buy anything else ATM budget wise, so it was that or nothing. NOTHING IS WAYYYYYYY better btw.

But its not crap, its literally garbage. Crap you can keep lying around just to annoy you, this thing goes straight to the landfill.

They are like Behringer; some surprisingly good stuff sprinkled in with all the junk.
My Zoom H5 is awesome.

I don't get the hate for Zoom pedals. Earlier I mentioned I have an MS-60b, and that it took me a while to learn how to use it, but it's quite versatile, almost an entire pedalboard in a box, and even has a decent handy tuner function. It's also at least as sturdy as some of these digital boxes I've been seeing around here lately. It's not gonna replace your favorite special pedals and it's not for chronic knob-twisters, but it is pretty useful on a small pedalboard. The instructions kind of suck, but that's unfortunately all too common these days.

possibly of interest to a few of you.

it has the great failing (imo) of all boss loopers in that it doesn't do octave/half-speed, which i use all the time. it does do reverse. it has some nice things in that it can direct different inputs to different tracks or stereo panning. it also has phantom power for a mic input. seems based on the 500/200 series in terms of its control assignment possibilities, so that seems like it has some possibilities.

Not the most feature packed loopers but my RC-3 has been a trusty road tank for years.
Depends on what you need as a looper. Different tools fro different tasks.

I really like the drag and drop USB feature on the RC-3.

I use it in my band for live sound manipulation of samples and loops. For that, it’s perfect.

If I was a solo guy doing live loops, thr rc3 would definitely not be my 1st choice.

I think you guys use the Boomerang and @lordradish uses another crazy cool one.
Forget what it is......I remember looking it up and it was stacked with options

We are in Montreal and locked down, though I had an appt at the hospital today and it was full of people wearing masks with their noses out feedbag style (patients, not staff). I do not understand people’s inability to wear masks and follow basic directions.

Folks—someone on here knows something and impedance, right? What’s the deal with Boss having 2 different versions of their volume pedals with different input impedances? What if I want 1 pedal that I could use either at the beginning or middle of the FX chain? Which do I get? (Eg FV-500 H or L)

considering that the nose is one of the main danger zones for covid infection, it’s incredibly stupid. you can find many things like the following put out by reputable medical sources.

I need to double check this up to make sure I’m right....

High Z : Mainly for direct instrument as input. First in the chain.

Low Z: Post buffer (buffered pedal), post dirt (not sure, might depend on voltage and impedance out of said dirt)....... or line level FX loop placement.

One thing I’m quite certain is instrument into Low Z will have a huge tone suck.

Edit.....Don’t forget I have Dad brain.....so I’m might be wrong on this.....
My memory ain’t what it use to be.

CORRECTION - The Prophet 10 is 4299, the 5 is mid 30's.

It was a while ago, maybe they've gotten better but I just thought the sound quality of the effects I heard were just unbearable. That said, that was over 10 years ago.

If you cover both with saran wrap it solves all your problems, I've been told.

Yup...double/halfspeed is a must for me. I still need to pick up a DL4 again someday. Still my favorite.
