Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

FFS - Modular GAS
Almost bought the current generation of this sequencer (not an effect, I know). Glad I have been holding off. This new release looks fun.
Make Noise Co. | René

Sweet. I've been waiting for the announcement. Looks interesting though I might go for one of the older ones to save some bucks. I've decided to build my own Make Noise System through buying used. Got the first few modules on the way.

I’m hoping with the pre/post routing and “one tone at a time” sorta thing my band has going I might be able to get away with? Basically thinking about using the EQ to run a gated, EQ’d signal to the front of my amp, then switch to the Spacetime algo for ambient tones. I don’t use a ton of other modulation or effects, but I do need a pitch shifter for a couple of things.

I’m looking for better pitched based stuff myself. Though the Merris Enzo is awesome so far. I should be practicing for a gig, but...

Pitch shifting is something I'm starting to explore. I have a Micro POG that I've used up to now and I just got a Pitchfork to add to the mix.
I've wanted a full POG/HOG for awhile but I would like to get something that will do a wide variety of harmonies and is programmable and usable "on the fly" as it were. So I imagine I will be heading into the realm of the more sophisticated units at some point.

You get the Empress or the Digi?

I have not spent enough time with my new Empress Echo. Gonna fix that this week.

I get the Empress now. Already knew I loved the Digitone! Always had a soft spot for FM. If I ever decide to get into synths more, that’s up there on the list

For the synth-head looking at the Medusa, Sweetwater is now shipping. The first customer review is up and it isn't encouraging.
Dreadbox Medusa Analog and Wavetable Synthesizer with Sequencer

For folks interested in dark ambient stuff, like field recordings and minimalist tracks, check this artist out.

He's been coming to our performances, and he gave us some of his CD's. Really good stuff. No bass or effects in it, but I find the textures inspiring. His social media posts show some of his field recording process, which has me interested.
