Should I loop wet signals, or dry ones with effects on the loops.

with delay and reverb, i tend to think after. otherwise playing over the loop means you have to have the same effects.

of course, you can always have dedicated effects that are only for mangling loops.

Can you recommend a looper that does echo that's under $200, even a little under 100? I have to jump in and see if I can do this. I have ideas from listening to all of you but need to just take the dive in! Thanks.

Hmm...
I think I might know of a loop & echo unit, but I can't think of a specific unit. I'm thinking Boss probably does.

Boss DD7 has 'Hold' function that will do 40 second loop. They are easy to find for under $100.

excess works for me.

i like to loop stuff, mangle it and then loop it into another device.

I guess I would think most effects before the looper so you’re not stuck with the same chain of effects on every loop

Man. The dual engines on the Empress Echo System really makes it quite the pedal. I’m enjoying the multi engine into the tape engine. Then, everything into the Reverb.

Wishing I would’ve held out for that pedal. The Specular Tempus is cool, but...
