Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Really proud of my friends Matthew & Dustin.
Here’s a rig rundown of the tour gear for ohGr. It covers guitar, synth, and bass rigs (drums are mentioned but not focused on).

That was a cool rundown! Love playing the Orpheum as well. Now I gotta hear these guys :) Loved Skinny Puppy at one time, so...

Here is my ambient/post-rock setup folks. The Aguilar Octamizer is a recent addition - I’ve not figured out how to appropriately incorporate it just yet.

@monsterthompson - thanks a lot. I did have a bigger Pedaltrain but went for these two Nano boards because I find the pedals easier to access and I sometimes only take one pedal board out. Super useful having them set up this way.

@dukeorock - cheers mate. Sometimes I connect the pedal boards up the other way around. It's a lot of fun to experiment around and not completely know what is going to happen.

@steubig - I haven't actually. It's something I've thought about and should get onto actually. Everything apart from the Octamizer has been a mainstay on my board for a while now. I'm not sure the Ocatamizer will be staying on there - I'm already looking at other stuff. Bloody GAS.

Maybe we can have an ambient GTG day. Everyone just shows up and layers noise.

BTW Sunday 10/7 is my next LA event. If anyone wants to come out and here some of the effects I've got going on, that will be the next opportunity. Sadly, still not using my bass (one day though).

I’d love to if I could!

sadly not that day. rehearsal and then rushing to someone else’s gig. have fun.

Interesting idea.

Very cool idea, I think!

So... I haven’t had time to play with my effects much at all... but I have so much gas for the oceans 11 reverb! A few sections in my metal band where it could come into play for the softer parts, and for my own craziness the “freeze” whilst still allowing another type of reverb on top just sounds insane! Anyone tried one?

Haven’t tried that one yet. Spent too much on my GFI Specular Tempus! Also a good verb, but expensive. I do use freeze effects a lot with my Superego
