Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Went to the doc today to get his opinion on my back pain. He took an X-ray and says the disks don’t look like there’s bulging or herniation, and there’s no sign of other symptoms which would indicate those issues. He’s giving me some muscle relaxers, and ordering up a cat scan. Since I had fevers with the back pain twice last year he wants to absolutely rule a few other potential issues out, even though he thinks they are quite unlikely given my current condition. I guess I’m just old and creaky.

Years ago I had back issues and went to the doctor, who prescribed muscle relaxers to me. By the time I got to see him, the problem was on its way to fixing itself, but I tried the muscle relaxer once.

Once.

I've never had anything knock me on my ass like that. Within an hour I was passed out on my couch, stayed out all night, and the next day was so groggy I couldn't function. Made the mistake of dragging myself to work but went home early. Huge mistake to even leave the house. Horrible experience. I vowed that I'd have to be in really bad shape to ever do that again; if the pain is at all bearable I would rather deal with it than take another one of those horrid pills.

I hope you get it sorted, dude. I don't envy you.

Wow, I don't get that with muscle relaxers, at all. I just get relaxed muscles. Now if you're talking about the edibles I've been making....

I once knew a girl who's flat-mate would abuse Gravol. Take stupid huge amounts, I guess as I really don't know, but she'd have her "fun" then crash out hard for 12-16 hours or whatever and wake up groggy, lethargic, hum-drum to down-in-the-dumps mood... really not worth the trip, I thought, but when you wake up like that there's always something else to take off "the edge"...

She was into a lot of other similar self-abuse.

It's been all Danzig in these parts for a while. His Black Aria album is unexpected vs. his heavier stuff, though it hasn't grabbed me. I forget that Samhain used drum machines. He's created some ambient tacks and elements throughout his career. It all started with Cough/Cool which was synth driven.
