He's gonna need to use the coil spring from a pickup truck to make that whammy bar usable.
What is this no kids thing and how does one find it?You had me at "no kids"

Haha everyone is someone’s kid?$50 copay cut my chances to effectively zero. It was worth it for me. I’m not anti-kid though. I mean Danzig is somebody’s kid so...
Except for that one Russian guy, Petri Dish. Mr. Dish misses out on all the Hallmark holidays.everyone is someone’s kid?

Let me know what you come up with. I went through this a couple of years ago. I have a few that I use from time to time. I'm sure you use pics much more than I do. I love the sound though!today i'm obsessing about how different picks sound. i've been comparing three picks, want to get another one to try out.
i could see bringing 2-3 picks to something (what is this "gig" thing of which you speak?) just in case i "needed" a sound.
pandemic life.

@steubig I went through the whole pick selection process. It’s wild what you can find. I used thumb picks, felt picks, cymbal brass picks, and some super thick composite material picks. Ultimately, I ended up liking these customs the best. Pretty sure they were Clayton acetal at 0.8.

3mm, ? (carol kaye), 1mm. wanna try a 2mm.
i don’t have a fancy name on mine like you do.![]()
There are some odd ones. I've seen one or two triangular shapes with a hole in the center and varying thickness at each point.
I use 1mm nylon extra grip almost exclusively. I can strum hard almost flamenco style to tremolo to Motown to Bad brains with those.to me they sound disturbingly different.
the kaye thing is really good for copping her kind of thing and a certain kind of rock (to my ear). (it’s a different material and i don’t know the thickness.)
i think the 1mm will be great for the 12-string basses (and maybe for a certain kind of fretless playing), cause it def has more high end and sound a bit thinner.
the 3mm has more “thonk” with a pretty good click.
Those tranparent ones you posted are the worst for me, max 4-5 strokes....on the floor instantly.
