by mostly, I assume you need it to be portable at times. Would you be interested in a studio desk?
i think that’s a distinct maybe. i probably need something that is easily broken down and/or has wheels.
Do you know how different the measurements are from Fender P's? If it's smaller, you could jut get a P neck and cut to fit.I know about MF, but didn’t know they made necks. Might give them a call next week. But I’m afraid that something that weird and custom will be very expensive.
At least I now have 16 year old flats to put on my jazz bass.....oups....the nut is stripped on that one!!!! (Replacement part should be here end of April)

I remember when twas about .63 on the US$, not great right now, but used to be worse.
I was gonna say I know of an up-and-coming bass luthier in AB, just outside of Edmonchuk.
Maybe get a cheap replacement mid-scale neck, and move the bridge on the body — or get a new body to boot. You'll need new strings, natch, so it makes sense to update the pups while you're at it and if you go that far you might find new electronics are in order. Some modern tuners so it stays in tune and ... you could keep the old strap buttons for nostalgia, but best get one of those sets of newfangled strap-lock systems...

I’m a sucker for gas... even if it sometimes takes me a lot longer to go ahead and actually acquire these days, there’s always the “ooo this would be a cool tone to try for this part in my band song”... (considering I don’t hardly get to play at home anymore

I have the Taakab dual LPG (low pass gate for the non-synth nerds). I didn't even know what a low pass gate was before I got into modular, but I love them now. It's a classic example of a device that does one simple thing very well. It just sounds great.
BTW, @monsterthompson I think it's actually great you're sticking with one Eurorack manufacturer rather than a bunch of different ones, at least for now. The learning curve will be faster that way.
Going back a page or two: manuals
I also hate online manuals or manuals that suck. Korg Volca synths come with the worst "manuals" ever, basically a piece of paper that shows you the names of the knobs in like 5 languages but not a clue as to how to make any of it work. Youtube tutorials are the only recourse.
The Microbrute and Moog Mother 32, on the other hand come with nice printed book manuals that explain everything. The Mother 32, in particular, have tutorials in the manual which make it easy.
Unfortunately, there was a firmware update to the M32 that made parts of the manual out of date, but they made documents downloadable to update that, too.

glad i’m not the only one.
i will say that roland did a three-part video of the mc-707 that stretches over three hours. it’s quite informative, but not easily searchable.
Well, I’m not having much luck with the LPG. I had expectations based on the LPG on the 0 Coast, and this isn’t doing that. I’ll keep working with it today. The Joystick 2 is a huge upgrade over the 1 that I already had. I just scratched the surface with it.
Sticking with Erica seems like a good idea. I love the sounds. The next case I buy might be non Erica but I’m tempted to stay with the brand. I feel the compatibility will be best. There’s too many stories about weird conflicts with power supplies and screw sizes being off.
The Micro freak has an online manual but they update it along with firmware.
And no, i still haven’t read it.
