There actually was a real life caped Skeletor guy on crack running the streets around where one of my buddies lived. Yes in the shady part of town.
He would always knock at the window when he saw light for some cigarettes.
First time I drove there he jumped over the hood pf my car like a clumsy stuntman then ran into the bushes....
I go in and ask my bud....."did I just see Skeletor with a cape?!?!?".
"Yeah, that's normal, did he ask for a cigarette again??"

Well. The new Night Owl drive pedal seems to pair very nicely with the modular rig. I’m really gonna need to fire up the recorder tomorrow.
Figured a picture was worth posting. The new BIM muscled into the pic, but the Parabellum peeking in like a creeper is the secret sauce.
I finally got my Doepfer MAQ16/3 up and running! Downloaded the manual and started reading through it - despite the fact that parts of this English translation remain in German (fortunately I know that mit means "with") it made sense to me! By this point I guess I know what I'm looking for, just needed a refresher course. Plugged it all in and had some fun!
It was interesting to come up with something and try and keep it from being too static. This is just the beginning - want to incorporate bass guitar as well.
The MAQ row 1 is controlling the pitch of the Sirin via MIDI, row 2 is controlling filter frequency via CV. That's one of the cool things about the MAQ, it outputs CV too. I also have it going through my Big Briar MF-104 analog delay Moogerfooger (before when Bob Moog got the Moog name back! and why didn't I use the Space Echo? Kind of scared to fire it up, haven't in a couple of years...), with the CP-251 adjusting the delay feedback randomly - everything is random until I start tweaking knobs.
What I'm thinking/hoping - I can control the Sirin with one row, and the DFAM by another row via CV. That way I could basically sync the two - or maybe more via the CP-251? Splitting the clock of the MAQ for example? Is Eurorack basically 1 to 1 with Moog CV? Better look into that lol - especially if I also want to incorporate the Subharmonicon...

That's one year of modular
The patch is fairly simple. The Bloom is sequencing the Chainsaw oscillator, which is going to a LPG (VCA + VCF), then to an output module set to instrument level, and into the Parabellum. The Aux has the OTO BIM & BAM (delay and reverb).
Everything else in the rack is just idling.
oh oh, no fun.

its not possible for me to focus on an idea, and follow it doing iterations, for example of one or a few loops, and creating tracks from there.
While my skills doing sounddesign with Fx, are quite distinct.
i have tonns of Audio on my Harddrives. loops, samples, whole jamms.
I record and record, ....but nothing happens, haha.
But i finaly started to work me a bit, slowly slowly, into ableton, and took some steps the last 2-3-4 weeks.
I finally have all the needed hardware together: M1mac ( = enough CPU), push2 + a midi footcontroller ( just came in 2 weeks ago), plus ACME4, so i can sync everything, and a good enough 8 channel Audio interface ( quantum 2626)
But its just not my thing to produce ! it does not feel like "music making", if you know what i mean ?
and the skill set needed for production work, playing and recording your instruments, is completly different than if just doing jamms.......i work on it
its like you had to be a 10 times better player, than what you finally hear afterwards on your recordings.

I probably developed more as a musician in the years since I broke myself than I did in the years leading up to my accident, and probably more than I would have if I could still play normally. So, it’s not entirely terrible.
I feel the same way about the hand problems I developed from The Drugs. Forced me to think differently.
@Funky40 – it seems you’re thinking about arranging and producing. That’s one option. But free improv with a process is another. Some of us do that as well. The trick then is to do a lot, record everything and just select the good bits. @ugly_bassplayer has done this with at least one record, am I right?
That said, it’s also fine to just make music and not release it!
