no idea. didn't read about it. just saw it on ig. maybe their website has something about it.
Still on discovery mode on mine.
Havent recorded anything yet. Hope to get something “good” eventually.
I feel like I've come to terms with missing lots of good parts - ah well, on to the next one!
And with that, am I actually going to pick up my bass and play along with something?! Haven't done that in a while, the Moogs had my attention for quite a bit there...
Eager to hear your impressions. I’ve heard a lot of droney stuff from the Lyra but a, curious about what it can do rhythmically.

New Sonic Arts | Vice - Loop Slicer & Sampler VST AudioUnit Plugin
i had a few hours now with this piece of software, and its really usefull for some things,
several things in fact.
It´s still on sale *right now* / can´t say how much longer. 59£ at sale
Has a demo.
fun to chop up vocals, AND kind of "sequenze" it ie. "F(i)X" it right there ( by changing play parameters, per slices)
This will be handy to create funny iterations of some speech samples. (doing this right now)
also: might be interesting for some of you:
it chops up samples per one click ( its purpose), AND: you can export single slices !! ....thats cool.
its kind of also a replacement for "Recycle", ..which is imho not working on M1macs for example.
AND: Vice feels "to me" smoother and quicker on these tasks.
The file handling is very well donne ! workflow is fast.
create many iterations of one sample and how you treat it, and save it quickly.
Tested with Bass (slap) samples too. Fun !
the midi thing is lacking: you lose all settings when importing a new sample
( not shure if it loads the midi CC mappings, when saved, and reloading a preset)
Has my thumbs up ! ....for example for pre-preparation of samples, to be thrown then into your octatrack.
( i was a long time octatrack user myself / i see possible workflows)

And the deed is done. I’m in. It works.
The CV jacks are great. The dedicated audio in/out is nice. The two extra buttons on the bottom left are now dedicated parameter controls so there’s always access to your two favorite buttons in a patch. I was able to connect my joystick to the CV jacks and control wet/dry on some delay/reverb patches.
Best of all, the angled rack I have this housed in makes it much more comfortable to patch than the pedal format. I’m still not “in love” with or inspired by the sounds, but they’re certainly useable. I think the overall convenience and sound quality is a solid net positive here
Time to flip a few pedals and modules to make space in my place and replace the divot in my bank account.

Did you have to use the Mcmillen midi hub to hook it up to the HS, or will any do? Still thinking of looking for a new MPE controller.

Not yet. Not sure if I will. It’s pretty redundant considering I rarely use the pedal as a pedal on the floor. Instead, it’s mainly been a desktop utility. However, it might make sense to have both for a few reasons.

i’m using the mcmillen with the iridium. as you noted, that combo doesn’t need a hub.
