American Made Basses?

You'll have to define affordable. For example an MIA Fender P or J will cost less than a Stingray.

Are we talking $100, $500, $1000, $2000, $4000???

Also, buying used is a great way to go. Find ANY used Sadowsky, Valenti, or US Lakland that is within your financial reach, and I doubt you will regret buying it. :bassist:

Godin are made in the US from Canadian materials. Their freeway line is probably the most "affordable" US made bass. They retail for less than a Fender Highway 1.

Actually, they're US assembled from Canadian-made bodies and necks. Everything from initial carving to fretwork is done in Canada, then they get shipped to Godin's New Hampshire factory to be put together and sold as domestic axes.

Weird, this is the second time I've had this convo to-night. there's not usually much Godin chatter around here... which is too bad because they're a great buy.
