I have other heads, but I use the EB the most.
It's like my 1st 20oz Estwing hammer.
I have way more of some attribute than what they EB does, but the EB can do a little of everything.

I've actually run it thru a power amp into an Epifani T310.
I threw in a set of Nordstrand Big Mans in a Corvette $$ and didn't think about it.

Plugged in and hit it, ports dumped so much air I thought I blew speakers.

I had it in the "Reggae" setting from the manual dumping near 800watts.

Just curious-

Are you really using that for a bass power amp?

How does it sound?

How are you able to bridge the channels to get the full 100 Watts? I was under the impression they couldn't be.

A TUBE 100 Watt power amp would be a mighty tasty addition...

A TUBE 100 Watt power amp would be a mighty tasty addition...

I used it frequently as a bass power amp until I got my Streamliner; then I sold the Carvin. It sounded clean, clear and quiet. It would get fuzzy as you'd expect when pushed but I never pushed it hard enough to test for real overdrive. The fuzzy compression as I hit the full 100 watts was exactly right for the church setting where I used it. The amp is designed for bridging into 8 or 16 ohms by flipping a switch on the back. It got plenty loud when I drove four twelves with it at an outdoor setting, where I had to turn it down a bit. I really liked using it but now I have the Streamliner and a WalkAbout, and both are as tubey as I need. Bob

True. that can be done- I was just hoping to be a lazy SOB and just run one speaker cable (LOL)!

That resister looks a little cooked! You may want to look up a schematic and replace it. Or have a tech do it. It shouldn't be expensive and will ensure reliable service from such a beautiful piece!
