You can recognize one of Bob Gallien's amps from a mile away: The blue solder mask and those perfect rows of resistors are a dead give-away. I wonder if his design style dates back to hand-stuffed boards -- lining up the components like that makes it a lot easier to get in with the soldering iron.

Fender Musicmaster Bass Amp, early model with 6AQ5's: Fender Musicmaster Bass Amp by bluesinfidel

Hello. Thanks for posting. Not commenting on this amp circuit or combo, but just on the output tube type:

What's great about 6AQ5/EL90 is that nowadays you can get them for peanuts. I mean vintage ones of the highest quality, some rare and fine. It's sad that the type is undervalued, but it's a boon for collectors and players.

Also, FYI: 6AQ5/EL90 is basically a miniature 6V6GT. There may be slight electrical differences, but it should be safe to substitute one for the other using a properly wired adapter. I used to run 6AQ5 in my vintage Fender Vibro Champ that way. The output was the same, and the sound was a little different; faster and tighter, if I recall. The same technique works for compatible preamp tube types. 6SL7 can sound fantastic in a 12AX7 slot, for example. Beware adapters that are made in China, however.
