Inside the speaker cab of my MESA Walkabout Combo 12" @ 4Ω.. Crossover and Passive Radiator in view

Here are some shots of a new design I'm building the cab for. The gut shot was taken before the ground buss was installed, so the unterminated leads go there. I built this as a practice amp for my annual family reunions. I built 4 single 12" tube combo guitar amps, so this completes the set, freeing up seats for the rest of the fam in the living room as the players sit on their amps.
The keyboard player stands in the corner, now I just need a solution for my drummer brother.
Oddly enough, I jacked this amp into a Blue Dog, and with the Strat it sounds better (if less versatile) than my guitar amps!

How does it sound?

Clean and warm, sparkle if fiddle with presence. Very satisfying to play through. But I have a DR103 which does a bit more range of the same, so it is spare.

What is the orange blob at the back, towards the left side? Looks really odd.

IEC covered in sellotape a long time ago so it has yellowed.
