Well you guys do what you want, but when I see a stage that has milk crates on it, I and most other thinking people instantly think "bush league." That said, milk crates do have their place in pro music circles...holding all the dilapidated crap you don't use anymore and don't care about getting bashed up but want to keep around just in case you might actually put it to use one day.

I picked up a folding keyboard stand for single cab use. Raises the cab 3 ish feet up and was maybe $20. I prefer not to use it (i like the low end boost of being on the floor) but it has come in handy on occasion.

Since my wife clamped down on my bass buying habit I have been building unnecessary stuff that just happens to support my bass playing e.g. pedal boards, storage boxes etc. This thread has just given me another building project... yay!

My band uses "On-Stage" amp stands. They were pretty good. Nice and stable and they do help get stage volume up to ear level.

Sorry...I could never use an amp stand for my head/cab setup. Plus where would I put the head? It would keep slipping off the tilted cab.

Onstage stand holds my 65lb 210, works great.
As a church bassist I have to recommend the hymnal tiltback method. Hymnals have become the exact measurement by which I tip back cabs and amps and I recommend it to everyone!

Check the specs. Mine is small enough to stack bag end s15d's securely. I thought they only made one size.

not exactly answering your question the way you want, probably, but; with my 112 cabs, I use another 112 as my stand.

Over here in Europe they're 15 euros. They fold flat. I've been using one for years, for guitar and bass amps. Not stacks, though.
