Ampeg 810 into a 4-door Civic

This story will not help the OP, yet is somewhat applicable to hauling band gear in cars. Back in the 50's rear seats were actually an option. My uncle and his wife bought a brand new Chevrolet and optioned out the back seat to haul band gear. He is 84 and still playing some.
He would always introduce me to people (well mostly musicians) and always note that I played a "Fender Bass".

I’m going to say that unless you have a hatchback that answer is no. Door clearance will be your issue. I’ve owned several similar sized cars, including a civic, and had trouble with a 4x10 ampeg.

Trailers are also an option. The 810 may double as a trailer as it has wheels, although you may need to replace the bearings and avoid rough roads.

If you’re itching to do it, do it!
I’ve seen 810’s fit into Civics. I used to drive a Mercedes C230 coup and shockingly could fit one.

The worst that happens is you bust up your back seats, break a window, buy a new car, or sell it

My wife has a hatchback ford fiesta, which is absolutely tiny, and I can fit both my 212 cabs, my V4B, and all my basses in their cases.View attachment 3377088

I’m pretty sure a civic will fit perfectly in an SVT 810.

About 15 years ago, I had a 2001 Toyota Camry. I was able to get an 810 in the rear seat. It was tight but I could do it.

Picked up my Heritage 8x10 in the wifes 1.4 2010 VW Polo Was a tight fit and Managed to sit the Svt pro2 on the front seat...

Another option is to buy a small trailer. You'd have to install a small hitch on the civic. Don't knock it. I know a very successful custom cabinet maker in Naples, FL who pulls his trailer with a BMW (car, not SUV). It's a sweet little rig.

I have an Accord and cannot get a fridge to fit, so I seriously doubt a Civic would fare better unless it’s a hatchback. The issue is clearance.

I found that a 4x10 sounds as good as an 810, and 2 2x10 cabs will sound like a 4x10 and you should be able to fit a couple of 2x10 cabs in your car. And if you want more low end try a 2x10 and a 1x15 or a 1x18. Get 2 8 ohm cabs for a yield of 4 ohms.

Like others have mentioned Rent for one day from Long & McQuade on Pie-IX ($20). Put blankets on the seats. It should work but worth the 20 bucks to try. Good luck, if it fits you wont regret it!

Hell, I've seen trailers behind BMW motorbikes, but more often behind Goldwings.

Then again, I live in Amsterdam, where the bakfiets is a thing - it's like a bicycle with a cargo bin built onto the frame. They're popular for transporting small children, among other things. The best I've seen so far is somebody pedalling one of those with an upright piano on the front. An 8x10 should just about fit, but you want to be careful about bumping up over the curb.

Loads of room for the wife, with the seats folded down those hatchbacks can fit lots of stuff. She may have her knees jammed against the dash, but it's going to fit. We've had that thing loaded so heavy the tires rubbed the inside of the wheel wells around corners.

I'm inclined to agree with you! Our singer also plays the bass, and has an svt pro with the 8x10 at his house, yet he gushes over my tone.

I've never had an 8x10 cab but if I do one day, I'll get one of these [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], it will take longer to get to the gig but on the long run, I'll get in shape.
