Ampeg B-100r Rocket Aficionados

My ampeg logo (the metal thingy) is broken on my B-100r.
I'm get a leCover on monday, so it should be safe in the future, but does anyone know if I can order a new logo from Ampeg?

I think Fliptops has them...

Got my Ernie Ball casters today and they work great. I did have to use the cups that came with them. They wouldn't fit into the Ampeg ones quite right. The four screw holes matched up perfectly. I reused the Ampeg screws because the Ernie Ball screws were a little larger in diameter. Now I can roll it out of the way of my closet easily.

Are the EB casters fatter/cushier than the ampeg ones? I have casters on my B-100r, but rolling across asphalt or any other rough surface is noisy and difficult. I wish I could get something like (cheap) skateboard wheels.

They are 1 7/8, just under 2 inches in diameter and pretty hard. Probably very similar.

FWIW, I highly recommend abstaining from branded/OEM casters, and getting one's self some real wheels like Invalid Link Removed- or Invalid Link Removed if brakes are preferred. I know from experience they will fit, and what might seem like overkill will quickly become a dream realized when your gear isn't stopped dead and almost knocked over because of a pebble. Ask me how I know. :scowl:

The post was actually meant for Smeet and anyone else who might be interested; not so much Greg. I would assume since he's already purchased and installed the EB's, that putting another $30-40 into casters wouldn't fly, but you never know...

For reference, I play a P bass with TI jazz flats, aiming for a warm, retro sound. My settings on the B100r are as follows (gain, bass, low mid, high mid, treble): 7, 7 1/2, 5 1/2, 6, 4 1/2. Volume and tone on the bass are all the way up.

Woo-hoo, just picked up a second B100R (USA) for CDN$400 -it's mint. Now I have 200 (transistor) watts, yay!

Now, I don't suppose it could be as easy to go lineout from one to -15db input on the other... no, didn't think so. Guess I have to get a 'splitter' ? Question is, if it's passive I reduce the signal - so I need an expensive active splitter?

Why isn't it as easy as going line out from one into the input of the other? That's what it's there for. I wouldn't use the -15db input, though. Even with active basses, I never use them. They're just a big tone suck and are unnecessary in 99.9999% of all cases.

I agree. I have run two of them a couple of times and I just plugged the line out from the top one to the 0db to the bottom one. It worked fine. If you want to stack the cabs you will need a 90 degree angled plug for the bottom one.

The Twin City is Active. I used a passive one before that and it really did cause me to loose some of my tone. No doubt about it. I have had great results from my Radial. They make quality stuff. Also, you might try what the other guys are talking about first though. If it works for you, it costs nothing!
