Ampeg B2RE for $50 new?

Not actually in N. KC any longer, different part of the city. I'm guessing warehouse to hub, to airport explains the routing...

They've also closed down the warehouse store. Was kind of a fun place to pick up scratched/dented/thrashed equipment. They also handled returned/opened merch there as well. Plus you could pick up any orders right there.

Oh, OK...I was there about (seems like) 2 years ago. I wasn't aware that they had moved...but that would indeed explain their weird routing!

i absolutely think it is. what goes on here seems to mirror my experiences knowing and watching other working bassists. got some who have to have the latest and greatest, some who stick doggedly to the tried and true, some who buy whatever they can get cheap, etc.

As with any internet venue, you first need to identify and discount the “wanna be” experts with no actual accomplishments, and "regurgitators"; those who post others’ opinions as their own, irrefutable, and as based on actual personal experience.
Sometimes it's real obvious, and sometimes it's not so easy.

For the most part though, I agree that TB is a pretty good snapshot of bassist sentiment and attitudes.

i just called them and they said they are finally getting their accounting department to send me a refund. why did it take a week and a phone call to receive a refund for something they canceled? should i just sit back and not let it bother me or should i throw a fit and see if they throw me some cords or strings for my problems?

I had to email them 3 times. It will come through. Then Paypal held my funds for another day. But I got it back, so its all good.
