Ampeg BA-115V2 Combo

Hi All,

Quick question. Does anyone else have an issue when kicking in the Scrambler and losing volume, on the BA-115?

Is it fixable or do I need to get the Scambler pedal to maintain a consistent volume?

I love the Scrambler pedal itself, but while I think the Scrambler in the amp is a good circuit, this is one of the problems I always had with it in my BA112 v2. Either you have to use a lot of blend knob to keep volume and tonal response even, or you have to adjust the controls every time you switch. The separate pedal doesn't have this problem, and I never really intended to use the built-in Scrambler because I always used a pedal for overdrive. Now that Yamaha owns them, I would love to see them tweak that circuit and improve that in future BA combos.

Great thanks so much. You would think that they would have tested this out before releasing them or maybe they thought some people will just play with the Scrambler on all the time.

I want to be able to kick it on and off when needed. I think, like you, I will get a separate Scrambler pedal.
