Does anyone have a suggestion on a bag or case
to use for the PF-350 to carry it in?
I haven't found an answer as of yet on here. Hope I didn't miss it.

You can use a decent laptopbag, something like this:

Or look for bags from diverse ampmanufacturers, such as Markbass:

Ctalley - I posted this a few pages back. Can't recommend it enough!

Just got the Gigskinz "MEDIUM" sized bag for my PF-500 at Guitar Center. $90 but fits PERFECTLY when you take out the velcro'd in divider. Big thumbs up and a great choice for those of us who don't have the flip cab (yet!). Fits my head, speakon cable, power cable, instrument cable in the main area, I put batteries in one of the compartments, strap and wireless in the other and tools (screwdriver, etc.) in the last.

I am not a paid endorser ... just passing along the info.

I posted pix of my PF500 in the bag here:

Awesome thread!!! Proud owner of pf350 w/210cab now btw! :) Love it, I feel almost unworthy of the tone but I have practiced hard and put in my time dammit!! I deserve it!!

A couple questions.

What do I do with my sansamp deluxe bddi now? It seems redundant since it was trying to emulate this tone and now just seems to degrade its warmth.

When playing slap bass this amp really has alarming pops when using my jazz bass, is this a result of playing on inferior amps and overdoing it or is there something else I can do? I notice I can really minimize it by turning my bridge pickup way down.

Ciao

This is for slap bass so my thumb isnt anchored (its slappin!). Normal playing is fine...

I agree about the pickups though, I considered that contact may be the problem. I tend to slap pretty hard as I'm used to getting my sound through any amp, where this can probably work with a babies touch. My pickups are a bit high so I agree there is a connection there, a guitar tech visit may be in order. Just wonder why I never noticed it prior to this amp.

You can pay a tech, if you want, or you could tighten them down for free.

LOL I'll look into that, thank you!

edit: update - that worked, didnt notice any pops from it jamming with the band last night. The things you notice from a decent amp lol. Tone worked way better with the hard rock style we cover. Also notice that my pickups on my jazz really have to be dialed same or I get a buzz from the amp, never noticed it before. Hope that isnt due to my adjustment. Not a huge thing anyway.

My pf500/115 showed up yesterday, but I didn't have time to mess with it as much as I wanted. I'm loving the tone, but it's a more complicated amp than the LH500 it replaces. I'm wondering is it normal for the amp to make no noise whatsoever if the gain is set to 0?

Obviously, the hive of bees we install in every cab is not surviving the shipping...hmmm...we will have to mail you out more bees. ;)

No, that is normal and a good thing, I would think!

Ok, was just checking :D thanks for setting me straight.

By the way, why don't you guys have swag to buy?

I know, I know. I promise we are working on providing more info for our new covers on the website soon. Then, after that, we will set up an e-store (or at least a source) to get Ampeg swag. We know it has been too long since we offered anything.
