i have to go run some errands for a few hours so i won't be able to a/b test them til tomorrow (darn!). by the time i get back, i think it'll be too late (for the neighbors) to really a/b test them thoroughly.

all three of them sound almost exactly the same. its very hard to tell them apart.

As bad as LOUD may be, at least there building amps that sound good; hope they last as long as the US models

I was wondering what that black thing was behind the amps.... Ah, TV's are over rated anyway. Now what you need to do is pull a 50 amp line to the fusebox like I did and hook a Radial JD-7 up to the bass and drive them all at the same time. Your neighbors won't care if it is late or not, they will call the cops.

Funny how quickly you realize how inadiquate a single SVT and 810 cab are when you start driving multiples. :hyper:

Beautiful collection! I've got a quick question for you regarding your V4 (4x12) cabs. Are you playing bass through any of your V4 cabs ? If so, would you suggest swapping out the original speakers with bass speakers? Any suggestions? I love the tone I'm getting out of my old V4 cab but I'm really nervous about blowing out one of the original speakers in a live situation.

Also, how does the V4 4x12 cab stack up against the more traditional 8x10's or 6x10's?

Hi,
all three of my V4 cabs have different speakers in them.

the one with the aluminum dust caps has four new eminence neo deltalite 2512-II's in it. (i installed JBL caps on them to give for a little more top end). this cab sounds incredible for bass. i used it on a gig a little over week ago and its now my favorite bass cab.

both of the others have the original speakers, but one has four heavy duty Eminence 8 ohm speakers (w/square magnets, wired series/parallel). they look like 50-75 watt VT-22speakers to me. and the other one has four lighter duty 32 ohm speakers (wired in parallel for 8ohms) with original cones. they have round magnets one them and were made for Ampeg by Eminence or CTS (there's no date codes or markings on them but i am certain that they are original to the cabinet. they look like they are 30-40 watt speakers to me.

i haven't had a chance to compare all three yet (i just quickly tested them to make sure that they all worked with no issues). i'm going to use the V4B and a/b/c all three of them tomorrow and compare the differences in tone. i wouldn't want to play very loud thru the light duty ones, but the large square mag Eminence ones would be able to handle anything a V4 will put out.
