Are you sure those are CTS speakers? I've never seen any that look like that - those look just like eminence square-mags to me.

Don't sweat the details - you have one seriously sweet collection going there! I'll have to take some newer pics of my rigs, and post my thoughts on my mid-70's 8x10 that I just loaded with Weber-reconed Alnico's...

First impressions are that it's going to be my new #1 cab. My '76 tiltback loaded with Weber-reconed 70's eminence squaremags and my '69 straightback loaded with new 100W eminences sound very similar to each other. This cab with the Alnicos sounds louder, cleaner, brighter, more "hi-fi" if you will. I know it's been stated before, but it makes the others sound like there's a thick blanket hidden behind the grill cloth. And these speakers only have a few hours on them so far, they're not even broken in yet! It took about 10 hours to break in the Webers in my '76 cab.

i just had to put my other two vintage Ampeg ('72 VT-40 & '74 VT-22 guitar amps) in the shot with the bass amps. this is all of the ampegs that i have with the exception of my '72 SVT 8x10 that is in my storage unit (not shown):

Thanks for the great response JohnK_10 I really appreciate it! Are you saying you like the V4 loaded with eminence neo deltalite 2512-II's better than an 810?! That's awesome! After looking at the photos you provided I realize my cab is definitely loaded with the light duty originals. It's great to hear that the eminence neo deltalite 2512-II's work so well in a V4 cab. I noticed on the eminence website that the neo deltalite 2512-II's don't need a lot of room in a sealed cab only 0.8-1 cu.ft. per speaker.
I figure a V4 cab can easily provide that kind room. Cab size has always been the argument when talking about using a V4 cab for bass... people just don't think the cab is big enough to produce great sounding bass.

I'm currently playing through an old linden NJ, V4B & I'd love to hear what you have to say about the A/B/C comparison. Let me know after you've given them a run through.

thanks. i restored all of the V4 heads and cabs cosmetically (tolex, grill cloth, corners etc) and the 8x10 cab also has new tolex and grill cloth.

I was just playing through my 72(I think) V-4 and it just kills! That's when amps were amps!!!

Just starting a blues band and will use my V-4 with a Fender 5-15 (Celestions from D.Avatar) or a Henry 8x8. Can't crank it in my place but I'm leaning towards the 2-15.
