I would email the seller and ask if you want it. I bet they will ship to you.
or I could buy it for you and ship it to you.
Man I tell you I am really tempted to grab this project. Just for fun and at worst have a 2x10 cab to add to my rb115Again thank you for the offer, but no thank you Sir. I'm really not itching to spend any kind of money on something I don't know how to repair in the slightest, even if it's easy for some folks.
Tweeters often buzz when new, this lasts several hours of play, at least. I would have kept it. I’m often disappointed when getting something I had been wanting, but then things settle down with use. You know you’ll want one again soon enough.
I would call it more than noisy. It was clearly audible. I don't use tweeters, but am not paying $650 for an amp with that type of noise. I would consider that a defect.
RB115 has no tweeter but the Rumble 115 does. I surely don't need a tweeter in my bass.
It would be cool if this amp had the same problem with a disconnected wire at the switch.
Got my new RB210 today, but it's going back. Faulty tweeter that was buzzing like crazy even with volume completely off.
Was offered an exchange, but wasn't a fan of the SGT drive, so I think I am going to get a refund and look into other options. The clean tone sounded good, and I think it would have sufficed volume wise.
If anyone is curious, here is the buzzing my RB210 Tweeter made. I am switching the tweeter switch on and off in the clip. Amp volume is set to zero and no bass is plugged in. There is not way this is "normal". I sent it back and bought a Genzler instead.

Isn't there a switch to mute the tweeter.Yep. Unfortunately all the models I have tried have sounded like this. Doesn't bother me in a band setting but is definitely noticeable in a quiet room.
no you wouldnt hear it over a drummer. but clear as day when practicing at home. Can you hear that over a drummer ? For an inexpensive high powered combo it seems fine . Big difference to any Genzler product . Genzler is all pro stuff . Good choice .
For me that would be too much amp for home practice. 100 watts max . I like my neighbors . Even my PF50T has them giving me the stink eye . lolno you wouldnt hear it over a drummer. but clear as day when practicing at home.
I get the feeling this would have gone away with use, but I can understand not wanting to wait and see. I’m really interested in this issue.
I've not purchased a RB combo, I've been interested and am a long time Ampeg fan, but these kinds of issues with the tweeter give me reason to wait. For small combo needs, I grabbed a Fender Rumble 100 instead a few weeks ago on a Black Friday sale and it's been working like a champ at rehearsal and a private corporate party I just did.If anyone is curious, here is the buzzing my RB210 Tweeter made. I hadn't thought about this. I might switch it back on, and switch the tweeter back on on my PF-115HE too.

Yeah the combo amp I've been using for the past decade has been a Mesa Walkabout 112, which I still own and love, but after putting so many miles on it I wanted to see what my other options might be. I use Ampeg SVTs all the time, and have a PF-50T that I enjoy as well, so a big Ampeg fan and thus the RB line was an obvious interest. I'm sure if the tweeter issue is a regular issue for them Yamaha/Ampeg will have it sorted out quickly.I am with you on that. I, too, was interested and following this thread but added a Rumble 100 at a great price. Hope this gets sorted out as Ampegs have a great history and tone.
