Ampeg Rocket Bass Combos

Does anyone know if Ampeg are releasing matching extension cabs for the RB115 and 210? I recently got a RB115 and I want to get a 115 extension cab. The PF115HE being sealed worries me that paired with the RB115 will have phasing issues, and I don't want to spend $800 on a Venture 115 even tho it's also got a Lavoce speaker and is front ported like the RB115. TIA.

How about get another RB115 and chain both !

That's an idea. Only issue with that is I then wouldn't be able to run a preamp into the effects loop when I need to since it would be in use. I'm not in a hurry to get an extension tho. I was just hoping someone here had some inside info on if they're going to release matching extension cabs. I'd be ok with getting a different brand 115 if Ampeg isn't doing it, but I'd rather they match of course.

And.... how about Fender Rumble 115 V3 cab ?

Took the chance and bought a PF-115HE to go w my RB115. It sounds awesome! They do sound a tad different when listening close to each speaker, but from 10 ft away I can't tell the difference.

Place an order on second RB112 for 2 combo chain idea like fender club member who did with their 2 x Rumble 100 combo and 4 x Rumble 25 combo with effect loop send from one combo to effect return on second combo.

Same RB112, but early version and current version.
Eminence on left, Larvoce on right.

Without bass guitar plug in, full volume white noise check are first test on the RB combo. I did because the first RB112 I have has notable hiss issue.

Both has equal fairly low white noise, but the Eminence driver has slightly higher frequency.

Once bass guitar plug in with all EQ flat and volume at noon, the Larvoce sound a bit darker and slightly different on low mid voice compare to Eminence.
The Eminence has more front focus tone than Larvoce. When fully dial bass my Pbass tone knob, Eminence still give me front focus tone meanwhile Lavoce spread the tone wider like Rumble V3 200 combo with Vintage button engage.

I found Lavoce version sound more close to my previous RB115 ( Eminence version ) , more to B15-ish character.

When the ultra hi engage, Eminence version sound more snappy and bite; meanwhile the lavoce version sound slightly less high and rounder low end.

The ports on the current(Lavoce) version look slightly larger. Can you measure those for us, please?

For equal volume experience between single combo and stack. Volume knob slightly pass noon on single combo has equal volume to stack when volume knob minus 1 notch.

For similar tonal tweak ( both has ultra hi engage ) , stack combo EQ knobs minus 1/2 notch on Bass, plus 1/2 notch on both Mid and Treble has similar voice to single combo with all EQ knob set flat.

Hearing distance 15 feet between combo and me.

I also found there are more room for Mid voice range tonal tweak on stack combo than single combo . Increase the Mid knob sound are less honky.

When ultra Lo engage along with mild SGT grit , turn up both Mid and Treble knob , play with P bass, she has more close SVT-ish tonal quality than single combo. More air more Ohmmp. Vrooommhhh!!!!

Single RB112 already has big sound, stack became huge and more than I need (maybe .... ), can't imagine how crazy loud with 4 RB112 chain together......

I been mention previously the the new batch RB112 with Lavoce driver sound more like B15 than early RB112 with Eminence driver. I found myself more please with the tone from Eminence driver, and i use it as main amp and signal send to new Rb112.

In volume level around 1 o'clock, Eminece > Lavoce stack push the tone tighter and solid massive than Lavoce > Eminence stack. I suspect Yamapeg has different voice tune on their preamp to match the driver too.

But my Vintera 50s P with Ti flat loaded work well with single RB112 combo ( Lavoce ) , with all EQ flat and no any button engage, just produce woody warmth clean tone.

I had the RB 110, then the RB210. I didn't like them at all. Currently, I have an RB112 for rehearsals and I admit to liking the sound. At home, I have a V4B reissue with its cab 212 AV. For bars, I wonder if the RB112 will be enough?? And if I sell my V4B to buy an RB112. Will there be any interest in plugging the 2 RB112s together? The send of the FX LOOP of the 1st which would go into the FxLOOP return of the second. A real interest?

V4b + 212AV are great combination.

2 RB112 stack for fun.

If, the band your working with is low to moderately low in stage volume and if, the drummer is light hitting and the room your playing into is of small to maybe moderate in size, the RB 112 "maybe" adequate to work as a carry the room/stand-alone.
I would have reservations, but only your ears can decide if it's enough.

Now if you have available to you capable FOH support with decent floor monitors or IEM's for each band member to have a touch of bass volume if needed, and you've elevated or angled the combo's driver closer to, or pointing towards your ears, it'll most likely will do the job as your stage bass monitor.
