Alright, looks like my local store (Tweed Hut Music in Vacaville, CA) has the RB-112 in stock on top of the RB-115. I will drive down on Sunday to A/B both and come home with one.

Watts have very little to do with volume.Interesting. The RB-110 is rated at 50 watts, so you'd think it would be about the same as the Rumble 40. Maybe even a little louder, but not quieter.
12. Then, get a 112hlf to go with it later.Well now this is going to be a tough decision between the RB-112 & RB-115!!!!
Lucky you. I wish the 112 was available to me. The 115 is just too boomy, especially at home. I’ve never liked 115 setups. I love my 110 and the 108 I tried too so I don’t think you can make a wrong choice with these amps.Alright, looks like my local store (Tweed Hut Music in Vacaville, CA) has the RB-112 in stock on top of the RB-115. No external cabinet with the 112.12. Then, get a 112hlf to go with it later.
As above- no ext. with the 12.12. Then, get a 112hlf to go with it later.
Aaaaw, that's terrible
115 it is for me then. And a 115he later
Wait, nm. Why would I ever get a combo amp if I was just going to bring two cabinets? I'd just bring a bigger rig. The point if a combo amp is convenience and portability. It makes no sense to add another cabinet. Especially if the extra cab, with no amp, weighs 20lbs more than the combo. And, the amp is only 200watts
112

Good to hear, cuz last time you posted that your local small shop had received the 115, my local shop did as well a few days later. Hoping this delivery pattern might hold with the 112.Alright, looks like my local store (Tweed Hut Music in Vacaville, CA) has the RB-112 in stock on top of the RB-115. All good points.
I’m going 115 because I miss my 115 cab I sold when I came out West 7 years ago. 100w into a 15” should serve me pretty well for whatever I need.
If I DO need more, I’ve got a 210 Ampeg cab rated at 100w I can squeeze the full 200w out of the RB 115.
That would be pretty rare, but a possibility.
Just don’t see me needing a “bigger rig”
It would be fun, but...
Right?curious if there will be a companion extension cab for the 115 combo.
yeah, Ampeg has killer 115 cabs, but carrying a 55lbs extension cab for a 35lbs combo seems weird, considering it will only take 100W, not the 400+W that the regular Ampeg 115 cabs are able to handle. so a smaller companion cab definitely makes sense.
You use a standard V1 character series VT? VT DI? How do you set it?After having a few days with my 110 I’ve found out this thing sounds mean as hell with my VT pedal. It really handles the drive being pushed well without starting to fart bad like my Rumble did. If the SGT button isn’t enough for you I’d highly recommend getting a VT pedal and pushing the drive and mids.
This is just what I’ve been playing around with today. Take it with a grain of salt as I’m still relatively new to bass and I’m just a solo player. Give a much warmer tube-ish overdrive compared to the SGT on the amp.You use a standard V1 character series VT? VT DI? How do you set it?
Tele, how much longer are you waiting? I could’ve had a 115 delivered today had I chosen it. zZounds has had that model available for the past two weeks. I bought the 112 and it’s coming, supposedly, at the end of the month. I’m in no hurry.
Say, keep this news here on this thread. I’m gonna wait to tell the CC. Thanks!
Thanks for this. Actually much the same Character/Mid setting I use, which pretty much determines the voice of this pedal give or take. Bite off, speaker sim off?
