Enough with the BS and here's the problem.
We got a guy in a blues band acting as a spokesman for a company that did $282B in their musical instruments division last year.
We have two actual employees that worked for the original company and presumably for the new parent company that visit this board. They post occasionally but nothing substantial about where the old Ampeg is headed, new product development, or about the release of something new and desirable that was supposed to hit the market for an anniversary a long time ago.
Jimmy, I get that you are an influencer on this board and probably a heck of a nice guy, but I don't think you have any real information about what is going on at the corporate level. If you do, let's hear some facts and not speculation.
PS - I currently own 4 Ampeg products (2 amps & 2 pre-amps) and at least 8 other amplifiers over the past 40 years. I am a loyal customer but frustrated by Yamaha's inability to communicate. It feels disrespectful from a consumer level especially after having spent many thousands of dollars on gear and a few hundred in repairs on defects.
