I've played a couple of gigs with mine now. It seems to me that it's lacking in power and not "responsive"...dont know how else to put it. It seems that some notes just don't come thru as they should and others too loud. I've tried using the built in compressor and even a pedal...tried different settings with/without each. I don't think its a technique problem, never had it before and have been playing for many years. Didn't have it with my last amp, a Peavey Tour 450, and I'm using the same bass. The PV seemed to have more power too and it's only 450w...maybe I got a dud?
