You're just dying to tell everyone once again how Ampeg allegedly dicked you around because you live in Israel and you have to go through whatever hoops the Israeli government makes you to get a warranty repair, aren't you?

Anyway, I know it sucks to buy something only to have it be broken, but as Ryan told you on the Ampeg FB page, if they could handle it a different way for you in Israel, they would.

I am an ex pf500 owner so i know the cutting out issue well. This past Saturday I played an outdoor show in CT. I actually played with 2 of the 7 bands PLUS my amp acted as the backline. It consisted of the SVT 7 over a 2 15 EV cab and a Ampeg B5DR acting as a slave (500Watts) with a 6 10 homemade cab under it. Only reason i used the slave was because of the ohms issue. IMO only thing wrong with the SVT7 is the no 2 ohm issue... Anyway the amp was used all day from about 1 pm to 10 PM with about 6 15 minute or less changeovers. Everything miced except the bass amp. 2 drum kits (although both only used maybe 20% of the time, percusion area, 2 keyboard racks, numerous guitar amps. This baby DELIVERED..... no issues, sounded great (at least with the players that knew what the hell they were doing) never every cut out or got hot (extra rack fans never hurt IMO) . FOH system had tons of issues as the day progressed as the bands were driving the 2 2400 watt mains pretty hard. I actually brought my Markbass SD1200 head and a Hartke 7000 thinking i would change up to give the ampegs a rest but never felt the need to. The pf500 was a disappointing experience but i must say i haven't been as happy with an ampeg product since i sold my V4B and SVT back in the mid 80's.
Never had to push the master past about 1 and most of the bands were much less more like 11:30. gain was about 11:30 for the passive basses and about 10 with the active basses except me when i wanted some grind in the formula.....

Yep, ignore it. Plenty of other threads for those discussions to take place. This is a thread for happy SVT-7 Pro owners and potential owners. We love this amp.
