I use this and it fits with lots if room left over for cables etc. Very good quality:

Whenever I need a case, I check out what they have first. The cases are built really well with strong zippers and a sturdy strap. Good value given the price.

My first 7Pro was "B" version but once the board was replaced to an "E"
I never had an issue with it..still using it today
and absolutely love it....great sound and more power than I will ever need
I wish I knew more about the compressor though... so if you have first hand knowledge

Well my amp went down again, just out of warranty it's had a new amp section by polar audio (uk Ampeg distributor) and 3 repairs, I love the amp when it works, I only use it for around 40-50 hours a year, so do I get it repaired again or give up? so far it's clocked up £200 of repairs......... Just disappointed (it was a rev c and had the new amp section just over a year ago! As I say it is a great sound especially with my Berg cab, so heres a quick timeline!

Certainly on the last 2 repairs there were different components failed.......... i just have to decide to go for the repair or get a new or 2nd hand head, any thoughts guys?

This is sad...
You've put some serious cash into this amp and it's one of 2 things
1. You have a lemon for an amp and I would complain to Ampeg.
2. There is a serious issue with that repair shop.
If you decide to stick with the 7PRO I would go brand new with a full warranty. I know in the USA and Canada the warranty is 5 years. Not sure in the UK though....
Hi, I did contact Ampeg (USA) who said they can't do anything contact your uk people, as above the 1st time they put a new amp section in it, for some reason in the uk we get 1 years warranty, the repair guy seems to know his stuff and has found faulty components each time and the fault does seem different,
Click and cut out at random times whilst playing for a few seconds them come back on
Whole unit dead
Latest, everything works, controls, di, but no output though the amp
As I say I love the amp (when it works) it's just do I keep chucking cash at it, I wish Ampeg USA would help I've chucked nearly a £1,000 at this amp, as you say if I had 5 years warranty I'd risk another

Damn i would just get an svt 4. I just got mine and so far it's been fine. I hate reading stories like this. Makes me wish I got the 4.
I had a 3-Pro that had been in the shop twice for solder traces; I never loved that amp.
I had a 7 Pro Rev C and it worked fine for years and sounded great although I would sometimes have to tweak it well into the first set before I was happy; sometimes sounded murky (to me)>
Still have my SVT-CL as well as SVP-CL pre / SVP1500.

I tried a new Tung Sol and a NOS Raytheon in it and went back to the stock JJ because the other tubes made it too bright for my tastes.
I think the 7 Pro is way too thick to fit into any generic laptop case. Maybe one of those 'back pack' style would fit, but for safety sake, a road case will be a better bet, I think.
I think I am going to go with the Gator soft bag mentioned here earlier. I just need to measure to make sure the smaller 15x15 one will work.
That's exactly why I sold mine. Loved it but just couldn't stand being on stage with such a high probability of failing amp..... Maybe that's me being paranoid but...... I feel for ya man. I'd both contact em and tell em how it SHOULD be repaired as the timeline is pretty telling. .....And let em know how the net works. It's such a shame coz it ISa great sounding amp. ...But it wasn't THAT great (to me) that I could chance it failing mid gig. ...And just TOO MANY stories of failures turned me off it.
I'd tell Em... . Spread the word. ...Of how good their CS actually treats you... Good or bad. .... Then buy another amp.
Love my V4b and the VRs I use as back lines (using one tonight) but won't chance a couple of their class Ds. Sadly.
What are some ways to avoid sounding scooped? I have the midrange frequency on 2 and the bass boost and treble boost turned off. Should this help? There are a few parts i play that should pop and i am blending in a bit too much.
Wish I could find that pic Tom Bowlus posted of what Tom Lees came up with for flat on a 7 Pro, but it was like the mids were at 3:00 set at 800, the treble at like 2:00, and I forget where the bass is. Kind of reminded me of the settings I use when I use an SVT.
