That, or Marshall made an amp that worked with it.Cool but weird. I guess you need two to make it work with an amp?
NO PAIN, NO GAIN... EVERYONE, CRANK IT UP!
That's the spirit!***nice RIG! Love the Pro Series cabs - serious low end!
My II will be out in full full force this coming weekend, but as a guitar amp <GASP!> loaded into my SVR-215!
we play in A: so it works for the thump!
Think we need to open a window on this love fest...View attachment 4662205
This wasn't first SVT-II.
I'm getting my second this next weekend. It's an original '89 model...I know going in I'm going to be in pain...but like they say...
NO PAIN, NO GAIN... EVERYONE, CRANK IT UP!
Correct. It was a Pro Series head case rack that came in either 3 or 4 space versions.Cool rig man!
Was your Head-Case made by Ampeg? It totally matches the cab.
I wonder how much weight that case adds to the 70 lbs. I had a vinyl cover made for mine.Correct. It was a Pro Series head case rack that came in either 3 or 4 space versions.
I would say +/- 13 lbs. on the 4 space. It was not a brick, but was well made.I wonder how much weight that case adds to the 70 lbs. I had a vinyl cover made for mine.

Here's Steve, a '91.
This is the second SVT II np I've owned; I got this one last week.
I know from experience one tiny crack in an old or cold solder on these can cause problems. This one seems to be running fine. It also seems to have had a life of light usage and very little, if any, road time, but the only evidence of service I found on it is from back in 2008. I'm planning to take it in to a tech this week for at least an inspection, and whatever parts and work might be found appropriate. It's worth maintaining in best possible condition.
This isn't an old picture, this from a few days ago. This 32 year old truly is still in very clean condition, with a few small spots of patina.

Very cool! Was that owned by Steve Stevens?
So I've been told.
I figured out that the guy I bought from, who BTW essentially didn't even use it, himself bought from here.
The previous seller wrote, "Amp was apparently previously owned by Steve Stevens, purchased from his storage locker, and is signed on the side of the amp chassis, inside wooden cabinet."
I haven't investigated it further and I estimate it's about as likely some other dude named Steve Stevens was the original owner. It had nothing to do with why I bought it.
VERY nice!More good news about Steve, I suspected, and I've confirmed.
These are GT branded GE 6550A tubes, in, by all indications I can find, an amp that's always been a non-traveling/non-touring amp.
A matched sextet of '80s NOS GE 6550A tubes I found nearby on Ebay is listed for $900.
