Thank-You Sir for posting the information...

Is the 71 HZ the low end response for the 212?

Well...that didn't work!

That's the listed range. The useable low frequency for the 212 at -10dB is listed as 40Hz, 35Hz for the 112. I will try to get some clarification on this from our engineeers.

what about the V4B preamp?

is it close, in sound and circuit design, to the '70 V4B :D, or it's more similar to the V4BH of the '90?

:bassist:

More true to the original for sure. Dino made a video with some tone samples. Once the web is live, I will get the video live on YouTube and you can check out some of the tones. We have been so excited to announce this. Getting the Dino approval on the tone was a big deal!

Working out some final kinks on our website, guys. Should have the site up later today. Here's some general info though:

What we really want to know about is the signal path, wiring, etc vs. the original and also, in particular, the transformers. Otherwise, I'm curious about the speaker outs. Is that switching jacks or impedance selector or what?

Holy crap! Very cool this finally happened.

I think the price is fair, if the quality is there. Most of the new, quality 100W'ers have been in that ballpark.

The low weight makes me suspicious about whether or not it will deliver like the old beast, but I'll wait to hear the reviews from trusted TBer's (you listening, Tom?) The 24" width is nice. Keeping 2, 4 and 8 ohm taps (if I'm reading that right) is AWESOME.

I'm bummed about the 2x12, though. I would have preferred (1) sealed and (2) aligned drivers that could be ran vertical with the micros or horizontal with the tubers. I'm sure they sound great, but I won't be buying one.

I wouldn't mind one bit if this made the 70's version jump in value. :D

The block diagram, schematics, etc. are not available quite yet, so I am limited in what I can say about the components. The speaker outs are different than what we have done for bass amps. There's a single 8 ohm jack. 2 parallel 4ohm jacks and 2 parallel 2 ohms jacks. For the dual 4 and 2 ohm jacks, you can plug into just one if you are daisy-chaining the speakers. Or use both outs, one to each, speaker as long as the total load matches.
