I'd love to join. Here's a pic of my early 70's (1971?) V4 which I acquired late last year from a fellow TBer. The cab is loaded with 2 Eminence DeltaLite 2512 speakers, and it really sounds amazing. I gig with it some, and use it as my main practice rig at home.

alright folks, I need some input. I sold my early V4B to Bert Slide (^) earlier this year so that I could pick up a B-15. I love my fliptop and it's never going anywhere but I have missed my V4B like crazy! I've been on the hunt for an affordable option and came across a later model V4 with the odd distortion knob. I went against my better judgement and just pulled the trigger. It's very clean and I couldn't pass at the price. It won't be here for a couple days. Am I going to be disappointed? Should I plan on flipping it? I fear it's going to be a far cry from what I had previously.

Don't panic yet. It's still an Ampeg tube amp. Wait till you plug it in to panic...or not. Maybe it'll be just what you wanted.

Hello folks, I am in the process of buying a V4b and am thinking about DIs. I use a Lakland 55-01 and a 68P and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a DI that will NOT colour (CDN eh). I have a Petersen Stroborack I was thinking of adding the expander to; does anyone have any experience with the Srtoborack as a DI?

Any input is appreciated!!

Thanks,

Dave
