I am. I have one that I use at rehearsal. It’s a beast and too big for most all gigs. But, it is my favirite sounding cab... it is just perfect. It is much deeper and heavier than an Ampeg 8x10 cab.

I like how you have an amp sitting on top of an actual "fridge"!

Ya, they come stock with JJ's.

It sounds good with the JJ’s. When it’s time for new power tubes I’m think of putting in Golden Lions KT66 if there’s enough room.

Got some solid time with a V-4B RI - amazing how quiet the unit is compared to a PF-800. I never thought the PF-800 was loud, but it does have a fan that works hard. The V-4B by comparison is dead quiet...

Use some good efficient cabs and I would say the V4b would be loud enough for most small to medium gigs. I use the SVT 212's and they are loud!

Oh no, it's loud - I meant the operation noise level of the unit itself, not the output volume...

V4b and 810 with black Ricky. The v4b and 810 were my main go to setup.

Couple gigs I ran duel V4b’s with 610’s taking advantage of running rick-o-sound! Probably the sickest tone I’ve ever had and way way overkill!

I have an early (69) v4, an early (70) vt22 and an early (72) Magnavox (small logo) v4. they all need service. my tektronix 453 died. so one of these days I'm going to have to fix them the old fashioned way. also have a 78 svt power amp, no pre-amp, no cabinet. needs a filament transformer. this may be sacrilege but I have a peavey firebass 700 pre-amp that I'm going to use for it. have to figure out a couple of things to make it work but I think it will rock once I get it put together.

Does it have to be an old one? You could do much better with Heyboer or even a newer Ampeg one if they sell them. Fliptops has them made by Heyboer for $75.
