jesus id LOVE to get a real one in dead mint shape like that as well! i figure ill make this my workhorse and leave an actual one as my holy grail. i just wanted a more gnarly one first.

just found out my pickups are BACKORDERED UNTIL APRIL 5TH :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I guess thats the price i pay for not paying anything for em. oh well looks like my wait is definitely a WAIT now.

yeah im with you guys DHs bass has been huge inspiration even though i didnt take the body relic as far. he really has opened the door for me with verbal and visual guidance and overall inspiration.

as for my bass being done i can promise you it will be done after april 5th..i may just throw the old pups in there to get it wired up and then snip em out when my new ones get in just to be able to play it before tax season is over!

i know its my thread and im a lil biased but DAMN! I LOVE THIS THREAD!..lots of cv and old school sonic blue and relic love. im quite happy with it all

I'm glad I could help out !

I say "wire it up" with the old pickups for now ! That will let you get it all set up and get a feel for the bass before the new pickup gets there, and after that it's a simple "drop in".

Once the new pickup arrives you won't want to spend time tweaking little details....you'll wanna just play the dang thing !

:D

(plus I'm anxious to see it all put together !)

;)

i gotta see how much the joint is gonna charge me to set the neck on wire it all up and install the nut. if its cheaper then my drive to ohio will be to get to my inlaws place is (where id have the tools and space to complete it) then ill go ahead and probably turn it in to them on tuesday cash permitting and get this show on the road.

you think you guys are anxious to see this get done..psh you have no idea how bad i wanna throw down on this bad boy.

Alrighty, I just bought a new thumbrest on March the first and it arrived today.
I still need to install the Fender 62 pickups and the pots, but they can wait, I just want to give you guys the overall impression.

Comments: 1st pic, that's not jizz on the fingerboard, but booze!
4th pic, La Bella 0760m!
5th pic, I allways engrave my name on the neckplate to personalize it more.
