Annoying Latency! Help!

Here's my pedal board. I love every pedal and effect that I'm currently running, BUT... there's an annoying slight latency going on, even when everything is bypassed, and, before I go unplugging everything and troubleshooting, I was hoping that someone would know which pedal is causing me this grief. Thanks in advance!

I had a situation similar to this a long ol' time back that was caused by a one knob compressor on my amp dishing out a super strong crush and blossom effect. I can't think of any reason those pedals would cause latency bypassed. Maybe the sansamp having an issue with it's soft volume program, but that seems a stretch to me.

Yeah, try remove or dial the compressor way back.

Nothing else that should be able to add anything sounding like latency, as far as I know.

Maybe it is the compressor... but all I know is when I'm running my signal through this pedal board and everything is bypass except the compressor and the sansamp, is got a slight delay. Hmm. I'll see what I can find out...

In all seriousness, maybe there is some polarity/phasing issue going on? Dry signal somehow mixing with a bleed/noise/artifact?

So if you bypass the compressor does the latency go away?

Sounds a little bit basic to say this but a good ol' elimination test - starting from 0 and adding pedals one by one- should help get to the source of it.

Well then, there is where you start by removing the compressor then the SA or both. I am betting on the compressor.

Looks like all analog pedals so nothing should be causing digital latency. Start doing an elimination test....

I don't think that comp is true bypass, so it's the only thing on there that *could* have an effect when bypassed no?

The sansamp has a 'soft volume' feature that slowly raises the volume when you change a preset and move a knob and that could be a thing which fakes latency if it all went wrong. I've never heard of it happening this way and it seems unlikely, but if he rules out everything else, then maybe.

Edit: I'm also pretty sure it's buffered.

Elimination test! Second thought, one of those pedals is flipping the polarity of the signal and/or malfunctioning. Third thought, look into Wounded Paw for effect blenders (I own the V3). Perhaps this will help you in the future: Effects Loop Blenders and Mixers : Wounded Paw, Bass and Guitar Effects and Blenders

Switch them all out and then wire around them one at a time until you find the culprit. I'd start with the sansamp as it is the most likely one.

Start swapping cables. One of them is bad.

Elimination test is the only way to know and has already been mentioned so I won't bother mentioning it...... oh, wait.... i just did.
I'm just interested on which pedal is the culprit.
