that's funny! you're from texas (real chili) and you like skyline (not chili! but tastes good). i have some cincinnati friends who have never tasted a version of real chili...thinking that skyline style is the benchmark.

Them’s fightin’ words!! ;)

Nah, Skyline Chili is THE only Chili for me when we’re talking about going on a hot dogs, or the occasional Four-Way. For any other chili that’s the focal point of the entree, such as in a Frito Chili Pie, Texas-style chili is the top choice. I make a mean 5-pepper Texas Chili that’s awesome for cold weather!

Not supposed to call other posters names so I will be pedantic in my name calling to avoid the troubles. “You sir are a skuflaw, a scoundrel, a miscreant.”:) Oh I forgot “ne’er do well.”

It would become a compliment if I included nurf herder, because you’d be Hans Solo. Indeed a complement.

“Prepare to be banned, whoops I mean boarded!”

HAHAH! I am a self-appointed scourge, a gadfly, the faucet that drips in the middle of the night!! :woot:

Dost thou bite thy thumb at me??

As long as my country is deeply divided among political, economic, racial and sexual orientation, I thought I would further help to divide us by asking the all important question.......

Do you put ketchup on your hot dog?
You know the "true hot-dog aficionado" only puts mustard on their hot dogs. If you're not a "true hot-dog aficionado", you are allowed to add other things like pickle relish, onions, and chili on it afterwards. :);)

Warning a bad hot dog story follows

A bass player meets and marries a young lady from very rural America. The young lady had never been around hot dogs, sausages yes, but no hotdogs or summer sausage.
As most of us know bass players don't make much money.
The bass player picked a package of wieners and buns after a day of street playing.
Our bass player got home, and went to take a shower. The lovely wife asked how do I cook the Nathan's? The bass player, said cook them like fish.
Our bass player dries off, dresses and finds his spouse sitting in the kitchen, crying.
The spouse in tears, sobbing says, "once you clean them, there is nothing left to cook.

Next bad hot dog story

Honey?

umm

In a corndog mix I get it but as a condiment? Out of curiosity is that a regional thing?

Corndogs, as far as I know, are a southern delicacy. I have travled outside the south and discovered many have no idea what a corndog is. it's basically a hotdog covered in cornmeal and fried.
Although in the south putting anything besides mustard on a corndog is taboo, I prefer them with ketchup as well.
