At home, I usually put hot dogs under the oven broiler and then melt cheese slices on them on a bun with nothing else.

I started to get into chili dogs over the last few years.

Tonight, I got two Sheetz hot dogs with onions and put BBQ sauce on them.

Sharp cheddar cheese and mustard. If I’m feelin fancy then maybe chili too, but it HAS to be Cincinnati-style from Skyline Chili.

Ketchup?! Eh, maybe if that’s all that’s available.

Ketchup is for fries, rings or tots. Chili sauce sometimes on a dog but usually mustard and relish or chow chow.

Casper's Hot Dogs are good with ketchup, other brands not so much.

Mayo for me! I'm in Denmark right now where they have "French" hot dogs available everywhere. Single piece of bread with a prebuilt hot dog hole, and a Mayo based sauce dropped in followed by sliding the dog in. A tidy and tasty package.

And all music over here seems to have killer bass lines in it, prominently placed.

I liked ketchup AND mustard on my dogs. I was dating a girl once who prepared hot dogs for us at her apartment and she refused to let me put both on mine. I could have one or the other, but not both.

I also like mustard on my Thanksgiving and Xmas turkey. Don't knock it until you try it!

I don't like ketchup on anything with bread, burgers included. Krystal only puts mustard and onion on their burgers. A Sonic #2 only had mustard too, last time I visited.

I think I stopped at 22yrs old.
But when I did I always put Ketchup on it.

Do you put ketchup on your hot dog?

Depends on what toppings I’m working with. Sometimes I’ll do Ketchup mustard and onions, but if i have chili I don’t use ketchup, sometime I’ll do just chili and coleslaw.

Leo Fender may have been into something when he invented the hot dog with ketchup, but anyone with taste knows he perfected his vision with the hot dog with mustard. That is how hot dogs are meant to be.

All in small doses so they fit:
Cheese, ketchup, mustard, relish, sauerkraut, bacon and onions. Preferably on a New England style bun - the ones split on top. Oh, and it should be either boiled or steamed. Yup, working my way towards my second heart-attack.
